Vodafone’s Sure Signal Device

Shock horror! A work related post on a personal blog? How could you Sir?!

Anyway, we have been looking to purchase a Vodafone Sure Signal (previously known as the Vodafone Access Gateway) for a remote site in a “rural” area that has really weak mobile phone signal.

Essentially the unit connects to your existing broadband and enhances the 3G signal to give reliable performance from your (3G enabled) mobile phone.

I was reading the first mini-review that comes up when you Google “Vodafone Sure Signal Review”, which happens to be this blog post from James and I wanted to quickly comment on his blog and say thanks for the information. For whatever reason, probably the work proxy server, the page is not loading correctly and there’s no option to comment. Ok, let’s resort to the next best thing:

I think we’re going to order one of these for the remote site (after making sure that they have an ethernet port spare on their router) and I will post my own mini-review if/when we do.
