Berated For Being Passionate
I am fully aware that I do not always have the most angelic of verbiage, especially when I am angry or excited about something. I don’t doubt that many other people are the same and more than the occasional F word slips past the lips.
Indeed, I believe Trent told me I had the mouth of a trucker a couple of years ago. I can’t remember if it was on this blog or on Facebook. That is irrelevant.
Passionate, by the way, was not towards my wife, but my outbursts on Facebook last night when the crappy entertainers were kept in the X-Factor when the talented one went out.
My status said “Please excuse my french. FUUUUUUUCK!”.
This response I found in my email when I picked it up this morning (note, I have copied this exactly as it was written):
whats with the swearing. Its only shit tv. Stop watching it. Ur IQ drops 10 points every show…
Oh. My. God. Where do I start with this comment? The grammar? The spelling? That this message has come from the biggest potty mouth I know?
I accept that it’s only Facebook and I really shouldn’t let it wind me up at all, but unfortunately it has.
Last night was only the second time I have watched the show, mainly through morbid curiosity, and to see Lucie treated the way she was, obviously, I was more than a little disappointed.
So, what do I do? Ignore it? Move on? Retaliate?
Having stopped for a smoke during typing this post I snapped at someone telling them that if they hate their job that much they should quit.
So, with that in mind I think I will ignore it, put my mood down to it being a weekday and move on.
Still, there was a report on the BBC News website that being grumpy is good for you…
