Oh My God He’s Blogging About Fish!
Yep! I bought a fish tank for the study:
Fishie Fishie Fishie
It’s a 39 litre Clear-Seal “pentagon” unit that’s sitting right next to the PC monitor. I had to remove the printer to get it in but as the printer is broken it’s no great loss.
The tank will only hold about 10 -15 small fish - think Neons or Cardinals and probably a sucking fish or two. It’s got no fish in it yet as I need to make sure the water is suitable and has a decent bacterial culture in it to support the fish and plants.
I’m going out to the fish shop (one of many I have visited in the last two days!) to get a lamp and some ornaments. I might even buy some plant.
Dependent on how quickly the water cycles it will be anywhere between 10 days and 6 weeks before I put the fish in. Hopefully it will be closer to the 10 day mark though.
If I get really nerdy I might put a widget in the sidebar with the latest GH, KH, pH, NO2 and NO3 readings in it. But I might not…
