Stop The Remake!

Guess what it means. I’m means I have done a complete 180 on Sky and MTV remaking the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I was excited about it when I wrote on Wednesday that it was happening. Then, yesterday the BBC wrote that Richard O’Brien is having nothing to do with it.

Having thought about it (a bit) since yesterday I can see it turning into a complete pile of shit. Wolfie mentioned in his Brief Notes post that he can only see Tim Curry as Frank. Fair enough, in a way I agree but dude – you have GOT to see it on stage!

Wolfie also linked to Stop The Remake where there’s a petition you can sign[1. Whether MTV will listen is debatable but I signed it anyway.]. They say:

Oh god. The original songs are the classics. They should be the only songs and to put any other song in will kill the Show. MTV. Don’t do it.
