Remake of Rocky Horror

Richard O’Brien has announced that he will be co-producing a remake of the classic Rocky Horror Picture Show (first released in 1975).

I am absolutely certain that nearly every person over the age of 25 has seen the film at least once and if you’re anything like me you will have seen the stage show at least 4 times, three of them dressed in character costumes1

As the cast and director of the new version haven’t been announced yet it got me thinking about who could play the main characters. I have a few ideas, but nothing that really suits the character. So, I ask you, my loyal reader, who do you think should play the following characters (original actors/actresses in brackets):

Obviously, I want to be a “party-goer/Transylvanian”, but who could play the other roles? I’ll have another think and see what I can come up with for my actor/character relations.

If you haven’t seen the film or the stage show then I level at you that you are a heathen and you should hire/borrow/buy/steal a copy and educate yourself at your earliest convenience!

UPDATE: Apparently Richard O’Brien is having nothing to do with the remake.

“I have no view on whether it should be remade but it doesn’t have my blessing,” he added.

That’s a huge loss. O’Brien has a brilliant mind and I can’t help but feel that the film will be lacking something without his input.

    Great news ! Love the film and have seen the stage show ! I was made to wear make up !! But that’s another story. Not sure who i would choose to play the characters now though. Cool new look by the way Coll ! ;)

    Glad you like it, the theme’s very flexible with lots of different options and colours. :)

    I’m not sure I should admit this, but I wore the makeup through um, choice…

    See, I can’t decide who should play whom either. Still thinking about it.
