Recognition For Services To My Willy

Well, if Russell T Davies can get an OBE for writing Dr Who (big whoop) and Tim Henman can get something or other (I wasn’t really listening) for never winning a major tennis title then why can’t I get some recognition from the Queen for services to my willy?  I could flop him out in all his glory for her to see!

Seriously though, is there no-one doing anything important these days?  I mean, Salman Rushdie got a Knighthood?? Come one!  He wrote a book that pissed a few people off.  Did he really deserve a Knighthood for it?  Not in my humble opinion.

Russel T. Davies did not write Dr. Who - he brought it back to the screens for us.

Just the look on my eleven year old son’s face during most of the episides makes it all worth it. It’s about time we had some quality TV to make up for all the cheap-reality ‘Best Sandwich Maker in the World’ stuff that we’re being drip-fed these days.

In my opinion for ‘Dr. Who’ and ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’ he should have got a knighthood - it was only the fact that ‘Torchwood’ has been hit and miss which failed him

    My two-cents worth.

Whilst I can’t disagree that RTD’s involvement with Dr Who has been nothing less than saintly, in the real world, are there not people who would deserve it more?

For information, from the Wikipedia article on RTD:

A BBC Wales production for BBC One, Davies is executive producer and chief writer of the series, which is produced in Cardiff.

Obviously a little out of date as he’s left now, but still…
