		<description>Yep, I agree.  Not only does it steal bandwidth but it must be a huge lag on computers that is connected via dial-up!

I have fast ADSL (relatively speaking) and I have turned it off as well.  I cannot imagine that it does not rather querie a database listing of known-to-be-infected-websites so that the issue be resolved.</description>

But then I noticed that my machine was slowing down. And for some pages it was taking quite a while for the tick marks to appear.

I have the preferences set to 100 hits on both Google and Yahoo Searches.
