Classical Music And Humour? Surely Not!
Yes, it’s true. I rather like much of the more popular classical music. Something that I really enjoy is to watch the looks on the faces (not faeces, I don’t tend to look at faeces…) when driving the Mini (brash, loud exhaust and loads of sub-bass) and blaring something like The William Tell Overture (this is the Hale and Pace version – Poppadums). Confusion reigns.
Via the miracle of StumbleUpon I happened across a post on Neatorama about the Blue Angels. Check out how low the aeroplane is in the first photo. Also, go look at the Daily Mail article, click on that picture and look at how they think Angel is spelled…
Anyway, Alex posted about Mozart and Bond Music where two classical musicians perform Mozart and Bond in the same piece of music. Pretty cool. Like I do when I’m bored I went looking for more. Inevitably I found it on YouTube. 7 videos in fact. And they are all superb. I really like the Piano Lesson but for the lazy among you I would like to share Rachmaninov Had Big Hands:
If they ever come to Britain I just SO have to go see them! Their official website is http://www.igudesmanandjoo.com/.
