It’s a genius cover of Massive Attack’s Teardrop dropped into a set to silence a rowdy crowd whilst supporting Paulo Nutini during the World Cup or the Python-esque wit with which Newton Faulkner is fast winning over audiences across the UK.

I agree there aren’t many like Newton and after hearing his couple of tunes on myspace I will have it on the way shortly. Few other to check out that I have found recently- the new Kings of Leon album (www.myspace.com/kingsofleon which is wickedly run through with piercing vocals and grungy blues rifts, and Eggshell Egoz (www.myspace.com/eggshellegoz) which feels like the bastard child of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jack Johnson. Newton rocks no doubt- and the cover is fantastic
