Susan Enan

Have you seen “Bones“? It’s an awesome series starring David Boreanaz (Angel and Buffy) and is all about a Forensic Anthropologist called Dr Temperance Brennan played by Emily Deschanel. Brennan and Booth (Boreanaz) work to solve crimes by examining the clues left on bodies, some fresh, some years old. It’s a fascinating watch and although some of the technology may be a little um, stretched, if you’re into crime drama then this is definitely one to watch.

We have just watched an episode called The Boy In The Shroud. Towards the end of the episode there is a really beautiful piece of music that isn’t credited. A quick search led me to the MySpace profile for Susan Enan. Having blogged about Jody Schneider last week, I got adventurous and went straight to Ms Enan’s profile. She has three tracks available, including the track from the episode. It’s called Bring On The Wonder and is a very simple guitar and vocal track. I won’t mind if you go and listen as long as you come back and tell me what you think!

It made me think about all the other artists who are out there that sing this style and I wonder how many more there are? Wouldn’t it be so nice to have more of this type of music in the mainstream instead of having bloody Rihanna there for the tenth week in a row?!

Unfortunately Susan’s work isn’t available to purchase yet, but according to her website her debut album is “coming soon”. Not soon enough if you ask me!
