Last year there was a party for the the users and developers of WordPress. They called it WordCamp and more than 500 people registered and attended. By all accounts they had such a good time that they’re repeating the event for 2007. In San Fransisco, US of A.
Fab if you’re rich or already in the US. As I’m in the UK and broke, I don’t think I’ll be attending. Nay, I won’t be attending. There’s just no way that I can afford a plane ticket to SF for two days to fly home again. I would have to stay at least a fortnight (I’ve never been to SF) and that would mean hotels and food and beer tokens.
Ah well. I made a slightly different badge for those that aren’t going.
Folks – if you’re going to WordCamp, have a great time. I’ll be looking out for photos and podcasts from the event.
Perhaps sometime in the future Matt and the team will have a thunk about an event in the UK or Europe. Ireland’s nice i hear…
