Paul Potts Album And Tour

Following his win on Britain’s Got Talent, Paul Potts has announced on his “official” website that he has signed a record contract, some say worth £1,000,000 (that’s lots of zeros!) and will be releasing his album on 16 July 2007.

The link I have provided is to Amazon UK for your ease (and mine!) to pre-order, the album is called One Chance and will include Nessun Dorma, the track that won him the talent contest.

Also on his website is the announcement of a 20 date UK tour starting 21 January 2008. Paul is scheduled to appear at Cambridge, Nottingham, Harrogate, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Sheffield, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool, Brighton, Oxford, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Bristol, Birmingham, Stoke, Ipswich and London. The album is all Opera so definitely won’t appeal to some. I think however that some people will buy it just because it’s Paul. Oh look, he won, I’ve GOT to have his album! I wonder how many times that will get played then!
