A Circular Route To Alison Moyet

This was really bizarre. I wasn’t even looking for it!

I had downloaded the WPMu (Multi User) to have a play with for a project I am working on. I have XAMPP installed on my local server and part of the workings for Mu is that mod_rewrite must be installed and running.

Being the dumbo that I am I turned to the ever faithful font of all knowledge. This led me to Rudy’s blog post (thanks Rudy!) on the subject. Flicking around his blog there is a post about using reverse DNS lookup to find out who you share a server with. A free service from myIPneighbours.com, I had always wondered. So, I threw this domain name in and glanced at the results. There was two links for Alison Moyet. I couldn’t believe it. I am sharing server space with Alison Moyet! Alison You Rock! Anyhow, clicking through her website I found her blog. On wordpress.com. Which is running the WordPress Mu software that I am trying to install for a project I am working on…

Funnily enough, I have been running WPMu for something to mess around with. I was hosting a few blogs for people but they then wanted their blogs deleted so I just got rid of it.

Hi Cornell,

Thanks for visiting my site. Enabling mod-rewrite and xampp tags has always been the favorite part of the blog that I have.

Cheers from the Philippines. :)
