Similarly related, some friends and I were chatting the other night about whether the UK has become too politically correct. Glenn said he looked out of the window at work and commented that the sky looked black. Some do-gooder popped up and replied “YOU CAN’T SAY THAT!” as if it were a racist comment.

I mean, come on, if he’d used the N word or some other derogatory comment then I could understand it, but what he said was an innocent comment about the colour of the sky. What was he supposed to say:

“Oh my, that sky is a forboding shade of grey isn’t it.”

or

“Oh, look at the sky, it’s a nasty #333333 today.”

Purlease.

You never know, he’ll be talking about Pantone colours next and calling himself a graphic designer!
