Stressing Over Style

With many thanks to Timethief, Phil, Adcuz and Daze for their input so far and following my previous post on the now not-so-subtle changes to this blog, I have been playing again.

TT suggested a splash of colour. Well, the logo now has a “splash”. Ok, it’s the colour for the original Thundercats logo, slightly toned down. Does it need more colour?

Phil thinks minimalist would be great, and while I agree, I kinda like the flexibility of the two sidebars at the moment. I have made them thinner and forced them more to the right to give more white space.

I am hoping to install Alex King’s twitter tools plugin and use it to create posts which will become the asides. It means that I can have an integrated Twitter without having to use the flash (which I hate) or the Twitter RSS feed which takes about three hours to update.

Daze also mentioned that he saw an error message about the search page in Internet Explorer. I haven’t figured out what that is yet but am going to start turning off plugins to see if they are causing the error.

So, what do you think?

I love the logo and the general colourscheme of the site.

It’s starting to look really good. :)

The colour you added to the thundercats logo was exactly the colour accent I was yearning to see. I think it adds some depth to it too.

I don’t know what the font is that you used in the header but it’s perfect.

Have you tried putting the same accent colour either on the very top strip for the pages or in the block where your name is? It may be worth a view.

Sigh … this layout looks so sharp C. It has 3 columns and a footer. I’m so jealous I could turn green and spit.

It’s not the money that’s holding me back when it comes to getting my own domain and a css customized theme too. I can barely handle html so acquiring css customization skills is way beyond me … sniff.

    ^^ C – looking fine. *
