A few days ago I was wandering around the blogosphere, looking at all things Habarian in development blogging application to rival WordPress. In the comments on one site there was a posting from Matt at somefoolwitha.comI love that name!. Clicking through to his site, the first thing I saw was a bloody great banner for Pompey Blogs.

It stunned me a little at first, randomly finding a blog that links to Portsmouth. It’s not random, Matt is in Portsmouth. It really does show just how small this world is. Anyhow, Pompey Blogs is a directory of bloggers’ sites from the Portsmouth (UK!) area. Currently there are 36 blogs in different states of maintenance. One I clicked through hadn’t been updated since October.

Anyway, if you blog and you’re in or near Portsmouth, Contact Matt and very politely ask him to add you to Pompey Blogs.

    Ha Ha! Boo!

    Anyhoo, hi there everybody. Im pleased you like pompeyblogs. Sadly alot of the blogs on there are updated fairly infrequently, but then Im surprised that (even with my very wide acceptance policy) Ive managed to get (currently) 37 blogs up there.

    It was just a silly post pub idea and who knows, I might be able to sell it to google for a shade under $1.5b in a few years ;-)

    Do what you want with the image, im quite happy with that. I just ask that people host images off my site themselves and ask me if its for commercial purposes (unlike Cillit Bang the cheeky buggers!).
