2006 Blog Stats

In his post, Daze mentioned his site statistics for 2006 and asked if I could do the same for comparison. He has used AW Stats which I don’t have access toalthough it is mentioned in the “stats configuration”. Bloody wierd!. My host uses Webaliser so the definitions may vary slightly. Here we go:

Pages: 248914
Hits: 559224
Total Number of Blog Posts (from Wordpress): 298

WP Shortstat gives slightly more accurate information:

These are the most popular search results. I also get (amongst others) the following: wife sucks balls, donkey fuck,saddam executionI don’t even remember mentioning this!!!,”sebastian weetabix”.

I am listed in Technorati at position 95,081, with 68 links from 34 blogs. Must do something about that…

I think if I were to narrow the number of subjects then I would (eventually) get more readers, especially if I chose the right subject. I’m not going to do that, I write about what interests (or riles) me and I think that both my regular readers would lose interest if I specialised. Anyway, I already have a specialist blog for my photos. I just need to advertise it more, finish the theme, oh and put some new photos on it!

Nice stats. Weird, you’ve got loads more unique visitors, but I’ve got loads more page views. In short terms, I guess that means my visitors visit more pages than yours, although you have a lot more unique visitors in total. Nice either way, and thanks for sharing :)

I wouldn’t worry too much about technorati ranking (Hi pot, I’m kettle) because it really doesn’t generate that much traffic. Someone in the top 10 was saying they only get around 200 hits/day from being in the top 10.
