Nor am I TT, I just really don't like the phrase "Merry Christmas". Strangely I have no problem with "Happy New Year", although I am not especially fond of the celebration itself. I know it's supposed to be a time to plan the "new" year and put the old one behind you but I can't stop myself pondering the screw-ups and getting all pissy over them. Ho hum!

Greetings Collin
I'm no slave to modern conventions or political correctness, so I say Merry Christmas to Christians and Happy Hanuka to Jews. And I'm not into making up words when there are perfectly good ones we can use like Happy Holidays! I have posted my "seasons greetings" on the wordpress forum. Have a good one. :D

I hate the whole 'politically correct' version of Christmas. I despise it. Because lately, whenever I'm wishing someone a Merry Christmas, I have to deal with that second of hesitation as I wonder if it's politically correct of me to say it or not. Year ago, it was perfectly fine to say "Merry Christmas" and now, it's suddenly bad manners and one has to go with "Happy Holidays"?
