You may know (especially if you read my about page) that I can’t stand text speak. I hate it in text messages, I hate it in forums and I really hate it on my blog.
Well, saviour may well be here. A new “movement” is just forming on the net. It’s called “Save The Vowels” and it’s specifically anti-text-speak. Woohoo!

A new movement is definitely forming. Txt Spk needs to be stopped, especially on the internet. It is (just about) acceptable for teenagers to use it in a moblie phone message, but it should NEVER be used on internet forums, blogs or else.
The English language is declining and it needs to be preserved.
I am 23 btw, German and only moved to the UK 3 years ago ;)
I suffer from ‘Irritable Vowel Syndrome’.
I think it amounts to the same thing…
