12 of 12 – November 2006
I must apologise for the really crappy quality of these images. I wouldn’t normally take images of this quality out of the camera, let alone upload them to the web for all to see. Also, to decrease the amount of space this post takes up and the amount of time it takes to load, I have split the post.
12 Of 12 is the brainchild of Chad Darnell. Essentially the idea is to take 12 photos on the 12th of every month to show your day. So, without further ado (and remembering my apology above!):
Sitting with my tea this morning (just) I got a visitor demanding some attention. He ended up taking a leap off the sofa with only a little help from my right hand!

The Fisherman’s Rest in Titchfield. We decided that as it’s Pam’s birthday it would be good to “do lunch”. Mmm, Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, clotted cream rice pudding and a pint of Fosters. :)
The evil grin of my darling wife as she sits with her pint of Magners Irish Cider.
The birthday girl unwrapping her present.
After lunch we opted to visit Titchfield Abbey. It’s over the road from the Fisherman’s so not far to walk. It was originally built by monks in the 1500s and then handed to local gentry when Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries. In the 1840s it was partially pulled down to rebuild Cam’s Hall, another stately style home nearby.
Leaving the Abbey we popped in on my parents. Rach on the left, Mum making a face as if she’s drinking piss, my brother on the right and my dad leaning towards the laptop.
We left my parents and went to Whitely Shopping Village where there was a “Christmas Craft Market” over the weekend. Unfortunately I forgot to pull the camera out of my pocket and take the picture so you’re getting a photo of what we bought instead. Pretty funky eh!
As we had lunch at the pub we decided on this for dinner. Again, if I’d remembered to take it, you’d get a photo of Tesco’s. Instead you can have a photo of a tin of soup.
Home again and I spent a little time playing this, while watching
This, whilst in turn being watched by:
This. This is Cooper, not Harley (who you can see in the first photo).
Ok, enough procrastination, I have work to do.
This is the CSS file for the Pancake Eating Freaks. They are a local up and coming punk rock band. We registered their domain last week and after sorting out the DNS I have now got Wordpress running as a content management system (CMS) with a custom theme. The site looks pretty plain and boring at the moment, it needs content from the band. I am really pleased with how it’s turned out and I have learnt so much about WP this week.
Strictly speaking it was yesterday, but Armistice (or Remembrance Day) is normally marked on the closest Sunday to 11 November. I noticed this while smoking a cigarette in the kitchen. I simply reminded of all those men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, not just in the 1st world war, but in every other conflict and battle since then.

Great pics, Collins!! I really like your idea for the bonus picture. And your dogs are sooooo cute. When I was a kid we had also one of these Westies (Sandy), but she died of cancer just after a few month.
