Still Playing with Tags

So, having dumped Bunnies Technorati Tags I have now uploaded and installed Ultimate Tag Warrior.

Quite simply, wow! What a fantastic little application. With just a little bit of playing (and head scratching!) I have now got site search and Technorati Tags showing at the end of every post simply by entering comma separated tag names into a custom field after the main “post writing” area on every post.

My thanks to Lorelle for pointing this out, although I’ll probably get another slap for still including the Technorati Tags on the posts…

I haven’t figured out the tag cloud yet, but it’s late and I need some sleep! If you fancy answering it, here’s a quick question:

With “Bunnies” I could display a multiword tag without the + in the display but with it in the URL. Is there a way to do that with UTW?

If you do not use a + when you enter the tags on the Write Post page, the link appears like lorelle_wordpress This doesn’t work well on search results. If you use the plus it becomes lorelle+wordpress which works as the boolean AND.

Glad you are happy with this.

Oh, and no slap for using Technorati. Just remember, you are inviting visitors to leave your site – in fact, you are encouraging them, so consider this well as part of your design.

So, no slap, just a caution and a hug for doing so well with all of this.
